When you need a part

July 29, 2016

Cars break.

Replacing the broken part may be the solution. However, there is more you should know.

Parts are not all the same. Your car may have been purchased on the secondary market with 'after market parts' or may have come to you with an unknowable repair history.  European replacement car parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) are often the preference but know that you have other choices too. It is our job to let you know your options so that you can make the best-informed, lowest cost decision for your situation.

European secondary market parts are available and are usually less expensive than Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, however, through our long experience, we have found that sometimes, it is perfectly fine to use a secondary market part and sometimes, it just makes more sense to use the OEM part. This depends on the part.

Our recommendation to you will be based on our years' of experience with your particular make and model car and the part needing to be replaced. Make sure you tell us how long you are planning on keeping the car and how you will be using it (will it only be used in summer and stored otherwise). This helps us make the best recommendation to you for your circumstances.

Talk with us. We will not only fix your car but also help you understand the various options with parts.

Call or make an appointment to learn more. We love to talk cars!
